Where are dragon blood trees located?

This world is a wonderland. It has different kinds of features in different places on this earth. Some ecosystems may have that we have never seen before. But they silently add colors to Mother Nature. This fantastic place is located in Socotra Islands, owned by the Yemeni government in the Arabian Sea. You can see a different kind of environment beauty there. It has a unique and strange appearance. Clearly, Its branches create an umbrella-shaped crown to this tree. You may see these trees as giant mushrooms which climb up into the sky beyond the sandy beaches and sand dunes. Sunsets add more colors to it. The Russian photographer, Daniel Kordan, has captured an endeavor to this Island to document what it looks like.

UNESCO has claimed this place as a World Heritage. The name of ‘Dragon-Blood’ has been given by the Ancestorial people who have visited this Island. The sap of these trees is red as blood, and also those trees have a giant look. According to these two reasons, the trees got the name of ‘Dragon-Blood’ tree. Actually, it has an ancient look. You will agree with me if you see the below captures.

Sad to say that these islands have been affected due to some reason. Increasing population with industrial and tourism development is one reason behind that. Though the dragon’s blood tree is prevalent, it has become fragmented due to the growth in its habitats. And also climate change is another reason for that. However, the dragon’s blood tree is granted some protection from international commercial trade under the listing of all Dracaena species.
However, these beautiful islands should be preserved for future generations. Kordan has taken the below captures for us. They definitely inspire you, and Don’t forget to thank them.
See how beautiful nature is…
