Teen and his cow lose at the state fair. Instead, they take a nap together, and millions of people fall in love with them.

Audri, a dairy cow, and her owner Mitchell Miner, a 15-year-old boy, recently took part in the dairy cattle show at the Iowa State Fair. Their hard work and effort didn’t pay off, and they came in fifth out of seven. They took a nap when the boy’s father came in and took a picture of them snuggling together.

It was shared with the caption, “Our son Mitchell and his heifer after going to show yesterday. We love you!” There were more than 15,000 likes on it by the next day.

She told the Des Moines Register: “I think it’s just that they become very comfortable when you spend so much time with them.” Laura Miner is the boy’s mother. Because they both grew up on a farm, they want their kids to be able to connect with where they came from. They borrow animals for the summer so that her kids can get a taste of farm life.

He said that the farm taught him and Mitchell’s father a lot. Those values are in us, and we are doing our best to keep them alive and well.

So, as for Audri, the napping cow, she will be going back to the dairy farm in September after all the shows are over. This is a heartwarming story that you can read more about below!
