Some stories about people making friends with animals seem so strange that they could have come straight out of a movie. But it’s a real story for Edgar, a rancher from Loncupué, Argentina. He found an injured condor in his yard and helped the big bird get better, saving its life.
Since that day, the condor has been so thankful to Edgar that he keeps coming back to the ranch. “We were helping him get better from an injury that didn’t seem too bad, and ever since then, he comes to me whenever I call him,” Edgar said. The condor had a broken leg, and local wildlife experts told him that the bird had probably lost touch with its parents. Edgar called the bird “Condorito,” and even though it comes when he calls it, he’s starting to go back to his wildlife as his health gets better.
