It’s a given that baby elephants are very cute. But what most people don’t know is that they are also very playful and want to cuddle with anyone who crosses their path. And, by the way, that makes them even cuter!

Another fact that not many people know is that baby elephants don’t really know what to do with their trunks for the first few months of their lives. I mean, who can blame them? So, they do most of the time, swing them back and forth with their trunks. If you can believe it, they even step on them sometimes. Also, it’s interesting that young elephants will chew on their trunks like a baby would chew on its thumb. It makes them feel better and helps them learn more about their bodies and how they work. Some caretakers would give pacifiers to young elephants so they wouldn’t hurt their trunks.
