It’s the cutest thing ever seen on video when a gorilla and his mother watch their babies together.

Going to the zoo for a young family from Maine turned into an experience they’ll never forget. As soon as they were in front of a Western Lowland gorilla’s enclosure, they discovered a unique maternal bond. People could record the moment, and it was nothing short of amazing!

Emmelina Austin, her husband, Michael, and their one-month-old son, Canyon, went to the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. They didn’t know that they would have a great time there. “When I went to the zoo that day, I didn’t think we would have this experience,” the woman said.

The new mom held her baby in her arms when she saw a mother gorilla through the glass. She was shocked. One of the zoo’s best-known animals, Kiki, and her son Pablo, who is 7 months old, were there together. There was a moment when the mother and her newborn child looked at her. That’s why it was so cute!

Kiki and her baby were near the enclosure’s glass, and so was Emmelina. Then, the two mothers sat together for a few minutes and talked about their babies in the sweetest way possible. The kind of deep connection you need to experience to fully understand and learn about it. Michael took a picture of the whole thing on his cell phone, and the video went viral on the internet.

Michael: “My wife held up our son for Kiki to see,” he said. “Then Kiki grabbed Pablo and put him on her leg so that she could carry him over to us.” It was one of the best things I’ve ever done. Kiki was making a speech with her hands when she talked to us. She and I both shed tears.

As if by magic, the two mothers were speaking the same language simultaneously! Emmelina was awestruck by the unique relationship between the two people. An experience that she won’t soon forget.

Mother: “Her face was just so in love.” “She kept looking around the corner of the cave in the cave.” I thought, “She is looking at Canyon.” It looked like she was showing off her baby, my baby.
