A small bear cub surprised a family in Washington County when their dog brought it home. The baby animal was found dehydrated and without its mother. Clearly, It only weighed 540 grams. The bear cub was taken to the Virginia Wildlife Center right away. They immediately put it in an incubator and started feeding it when they got there. Amanda Nicholson, in charge of outreach at the Wildlife Center, said, “This has been a great example of working together to help a wild animal.”
A family dog in Washington County, Georgia, unexpectedly brought home a baby bear. The bear was thirsty and only weighed 540 grams. The cub was taken to the Wildlife Center. The staff there fed him, and he put on some weight. No longer is the cub all by itself! A mother bear will take care of him and keep him warm.
