Being a mother is the best promotion a woman can get. Not just for people, but also for animals. In the same way, giving birth is one of the most amazing things a mother can do. It’s the worst and best time in the world at the same time! It’s more of a secret for human mothers, but not always for animal mothers.
Most of the time, the mother, father, or hospital staff are the first people to greet a human baby after birth. But for wild elephants, it’s someone else. Their new little tribe member has the whole herd there to say hello.
In this video, a lucky group of safari travellers were able to see that happen and share it with us. It’s Great! It’s also really cool how she gets greetings from her herd.
When it rains, this mother elephant stands out in the grassland while she gives birth. It was safe for the rest of her herd to stay away. Maybe it’s because mum needs some space to breathe even when she’s outside! She Has Been Successful!
The new mum is proud to show off her kids. Almost everyone there seemed happy, from the baby’s grandmother to his second cousins. The elephant herd quickly surrounded the mother and child and praised them.
But because they knew there were tourists nearby, the herd also built a wall around the weak little guy to protect him.
Even though elephants are very sensitive and emotional, these scenes make it very clear that when it comes to welcoming their babies into the world, they are just like people! A rare sight, but a very pretty one!
