A man finds tiny animals hiding in his car engine, which makes for a sweet reunion.

When a man’s car wouldn’t start, something very unexpected was found under the hood. It was a moving rescue that brought a mother and her babies back together.

A TikTok post says that Karenlynn Stracher, who works as a wildlife rehabilitator, got a call from a man who was having some strange problems with his car.

His car hadn’t been driven in a few months, and when he tried to start it, it wouldn’t work. A tow truck took the car to an auto shop, where workers looked under the hood and found six baby squirrels hidden in the engine!

TikTok says Karenlynn told the driver and his friend to take the squirrels out and put them in a shoebox. After that, he drove back to where he had parked the car and put the box on the side of it.

The goal was to get the baby squirrels back to their mother.

Kendra Stracher told The Dodo, “I wish people knew how badly these moms want their babies back.” “When the babies are healthy, we should do everything we can to get them back to their mother. Their mother is always best, no matter how good we are at raising baby squirrels as rehabbers.”

Sure enough, the mother squirrel quickly showed up to get her kids. Slowly, she moves the babies up a nearby tree to her second home.

“She kept going until all of her babies were safe and sound in their new home,” Stracher wrote on TikTok. “Thank you so much to this kind and patient man for giving these babies back to their mother. I’m sure mom is grateful too!”
